Total Relief When Nothing Else Could Help. We bought a HealthPro Plus in August 2002 for several reasons - several family members with allergies (we have 7 children - 4 with allergies and myself), mold problems in our house and very bad smoke in the air from forest fires especially in Oregon not far away (which has happened for the last three years now). The smoke was aggravating our allergies and everyone also had other symptoms such as itchy swollen eyes - even those without allergies. We had previously tried a less expensive air purifier (under $200) and an expensive ozone unit we borrowed from a friend, with little help from either. In fact, it seemed that the ozone unit was making things worse. Well - we are very happy with the results from the IQAir. Within an hour all the musty and other unpleasant odors in different parts of the house were gone - for good. Within one to two days everyone experienced some degree of relief from allergy symptoms. And this relief improved over time until eventually three of our sons with moderate to serious allergies had complete relief, and 90% relief for our two other sufferers. We suspect some of the remaining symptoms may be from food allergies. And the considerable smoke that was in the air at the time from fires was, as far as we could tell, completely eliminated in the house as long as we kept the windows closed. We are really amazed to see how well the carbon odor and gas filter really does remove most smells including the stuffiness in the room when all of us are in one room together! We were so happy with our HealthPro Plus that we bought a second one a month later because, even though the first one was doing a good job of purifying our 1300 sq. ft. home, a second one allows us to move one around from room to room for special needs, and also each one can now be turned to a lower speed for equal but quieter operation. We are even happier now. I'll also mention that shipping was fast - each unit arrived in two business days after placing our order. Chemical Sensitivities Held in Check. I live with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity - my immune system has been compromised which makes my health condition incredibly unstable.
